rapid automatized naming (RAN)

this is an exercise that involves measuring how quickly someone can recognise objects or words.

it can provide a good measure of childrens ability to read later in their life.

RAN reminds me of the research that tachtile was based on by Samuel Renshaw.

he believed that training the ability to quickly recognise words/objects could help with reading and comprehension.
